New Delhi, Aug 29 (): Samsung has announced the launch its own Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 for kids. It is specially designed for kids with the educational tools and also with safety features expected by the parents.
Samsung Mobile CEO J.K. Shin said in a statement, “It’s no secret that kids are using technology more than ever before, we saw an opportunity to create a device just for kids that provides them with an intuitive, fun and kid-friendly user experience filled with rich, interactive and educational content that parents will love.”
The tablet runs on a simplified version of Android 4.1 to make it easier to use. The Galaxy Tab 3 Kid comes with a brightly coloured, chunky design with a stand and pre-loaded with kids-oriented apps and a store for kids. The tablet also features an Application Manager that offers the parents the ability to select suitable apps for kids to access.
The tablet features a 7-inch WSVGA display with 1024×600 pixels resolution and a pixel density of 170ppi. The kids tablet is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and 1GB RAM.
Other features are a 3-megapixel rear camera and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. It has 8GB of internal storage expandable up to 32 GB. However, the Galaxy Tab 3 Kids has no SIM connectivity but has WiFi option. It is powered with a 4000mAh battery. The size of the tablet is 111.1 x 188 x 9.9 mm and weighs 302 grams.

The Samsung GALAXY Tab 3 Kids will be made available in Korea in early September, and later will be available in the countries like U.S., Europe, China, South America Africa and South East Asia.
