New Delhi, Aug 27 (): The South Korean handset maker LG has officially announced the launch of its latest smartphone LG Optimus L9 II at a local launch event in Netherlands. The smartphone will be available in Austria, Germany, Czech Republic, Spain, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Hungary, Romania and Sweden from the month of October. However, availability details for other countries were not clear.
LG Optimus L9 II is an upgraded version of LG Optimus L9 which was launched last year. The LG Optimus L9 II features a 4.7-inch True HD IPS display. The smartphone has 1280 x 720 pixel resolution with a pixel density of 312 ppi. This smartphone has a dual-core 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8320 System on Chip and Adreno 305 graphics chip. It is powered with 1 GB RAM. The smartphone runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system.
The L9 II is also equipped with an Infrared transmitter for remote control functions and a “Turbo G” feature. It has 8GB expandable internal storage along with a memory card slot to expand the storage by another 32 GB or 64 GB.
It is to sport an 8MP shooter in the rear and a 1.3MP sensor in the front. It is powered with a powerful 2,150mAh battery. The other features include light sensor, proximity sensor. For connectivity, the smartphone sports USB 2.0 tethering, computer sync, GPS and A- GPS.
