Mumbai, Aug 27 (): Bollywood’s Khiladi Akshay Kumar is back with a bang in his upcoming film Boss. The first trailer of Boss is out today as the date adds up to Akshay’s lucky number.
Watch the trailer of Boss:
Directed by Anthony D’Souza, the action comedy will feature Akshay Kumar in some comprehensive action sequences. Before Boss, D’Souza has directed Blue in 2009.
Akshay has previously given a generous dose of action in his recent movies such as Rowdy Rathore and Khiladi 786. While the former was a big hit, the latter was a flop. And now, Boss, made under the Ashwin Varde productions, looks to give the same action in a different manner.
Boss also stars Aditi Rao Hydari, Ronit Roy, Sonakshi Sinha, Mithun Chakraborty, Shiv Pandit, Danny Denzongpa, Johnny Leverm, Parikshit Sahni and Prabhu Deva.
In the trailer, Akshay is seen playing the role of Boss, who is here to kill the baddie cop played by Ronit Roy. Akshay’s character is a Robin-Hood type character who helps the needy. Interestingly, Khiladi actor is speaking in thick rural Haryana accent. Shiv Pandit and Aditi Rao Hydari also pair-up to make a refreshing young couple in the film.
Boss appears to have all the elements of a wholesome Bollywood action-comedy. And Akshay Kumar in an unchallenged unique manner, leaps and beats his way through bad guys and even does the action moves with the effortless cool. The action sequences in Boss seems to be more than a notch higher in terms of sleek editing and a very earthy Haryani set-up.
The character and the story of Boss looks like a heavy combination of Dabanng, Singham, Rowdy Rathore and Khiladi 786.
After the setback from his recent Bollywood venture Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobaara, Akshay Kumar is banking on the success of Boss.
Boss is set to release on October 16.
