New Delhi, Aug 18 (): Welcoming the move of Delhi Police over the arrest of Abdul Karim Tunda on Saturday, family and neighbours of Tunda have expressed relief over the arrest saying that the man should immediately be hanged for the crime he committed.
Demanding severe punishment for Tunda, his brother Abdul Malik claimed that the family was extremely delighted after the news of Tunda’s arrest broke out. Malik who saw his brother earlier in 1991 said that the family had to bear extreme distress and pain as Police had been frequently visiting his residence to inquire about Tunda’s whereabouts. A Pakistani passport was also recovered from Tunda, said the police. The family which endured grave harassment wished Tunda to be hanged to death.
Celebrating the happiness over Tunda’s arrest, neighbours too joined the family in cursing Tunda and said that strict investigation should be carried out against the man who had given dishonour not only to the family but the whole locality, said the neighbours.

Tunda has been sent to three days police custody, said the officer.
