New Delhi, Aug 16 (): In India there is a high demand for Bank jobs as freshers opt more for bank jobs compared to other career options.
IBPS bank exams and common interview, recruitment has been on an increase now.
Industry experts have revealed that more than three lakh PO & Clerk jobs in banking sector will likely be filled in the next three years as a large number of retirements are expected soon besides opening of new branches in rural areas.
A total of 5000 more vacancies will be announced after September 2013 in the second list for PO & Clerk allotment.
Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is an autonomous agency which launched its operation in 1975 as Personnel Selection Services (PSS). In the year 1984, IBPS became an independent entity at the behest of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) as well as Public Sector Banks. It is a self-governed academic and research-oriented Institute undertaking an assignment for the selection of officers and clerks in Indian Banks.
IBPS CWE is now mandatory for anyone who seeks an employment in 20 public sector and regional rural banks. Exams are conducted at various locations in the country in online or offline mode.
The eligibility criteria to apply for the common written examinations has been changed in the recent past as per the decision taken by the Government of India.
Candidates who apply for the job should not be below 20 years age and should not not exceed 30 years of age. Candidates interested should have minimum educational qualification of a degree from a recognized university.
A certificate in computer application or knowledge in computers is also mandatory for all posts apart from specialist officers.
