Salman Khan books Eid 2014 for Kick

Mumbai, Aug 15 (): Bollywood actor Salman Khan will be back next year on Eid with action-packed movie ‘Kick’. Eid has always proved lucky for Salman, as he has delivered four back-to-back blockbusters – ‘Wanted’, ‘Bodyguard’, ‘Dabangg’ and ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ – on the auspicious day.

Producer Sajid Nadiadwala has confirmed that his directorial debut Kick, starring Salman Khan will open on Eid next year. The exact release date is July 27, 2014.

Sajid said in a statement that he was delighted to direct Salman Khan, with whom he had shared a very good rapport over the years. Releasing Salman’s movie on Eid would be like a cherry on the icing, as Salman had already proved his mettle with Eid releases and they had hoped to create the magic again with ‘Kick’.

For the past four years Salman’s movies from ‘Wanted’, ‘Bodyguard’, ‘Dabangg’ and ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ had been creating magic at the box office. For this year Eid, Shahrukh Khan’s movie Chennai Express is storming the box office. Now, next year Eid is booked for Salman’s Kick.

Kick is an action movie which marks the directorial debut of Nadiadwala and the movie is one of the most anticipated movies of 2014. The film has Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead lady role opposite Salman Khan.

Kick is a remake of a Telugu movie with the same name. The Telugu film which featured Ravi Teja and Ileana D’cruz was a blockbuster.

Kick will be extensively shot in the beautiful locales of London and the shooting for the film has begun in Glasgow. The director of the film is very excited about the movie.

Salman Khan’s visa to UK was rejected in his first attempt as proper papers were not submitted. But with his paperwork being sorted out, Salman was granted visa on his second attempt and the actor will take off to London. The rest of the cast and crew have been working on the film on location since the last two weeks.
