UPSC reveals sample paper on’ moral code’ for civil services, and schedule for 2014

New Delhi, Aug 14 (): The UPSC has announced sample paper on moral code for civil services aspirants who will likely be facing similar question that will test the attitude and skill of the candidates such as probity in public life and problem solving approach in the paper on ‘ethics, reliability and ability,’ that has been introduced in the main examination from this year.

Candidates can view the sample paper available on the UPSC website www.upsc.gov.in   that might probably help the candidate for the examination.

Apart from sample questions regarding ethical human conduct, intellectual integrity, compassion, determination, spirit of service and commitment, the paper also consists of case studies like scrutinizing one’s problem solving capacity on odd situations such as irritation, cheating and bribery at work places among others.

By revealing the sample paper, the UPSC has also made clear saying that the range and depth of questions that would be asked during the examination might not be the same. With an intention to strengthen civil service examinations, a new prototype giving more stress on evaluating general studies and talent skills of candidates was notified in the month of March this year.

The separate paper on “ethics, integrity and aptitude” might possibly carry 250 marks in the civil service main examination.
