Mumbai, Aug 4 (): Bhaag Milkha Bhaag has already become the third highest grosser of the year and now the movie is heading towards 100 crore mark. However, director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra is happier for striking a chord with the audiences rather than the box office figures achieved. The biopic film also has got the tax favour.
Bhaag Milkha Bhaag collected good numbers in 1st, 2nd and 3rd weeks in spite of numerous new releases and this pattern continues in 4th week too. Film has taken a thunderous start in 4th week.
On the starting day of the 4th week, the film collected 1.05 cr nett on taking its 22 days total to 97 cr nett plus.
Trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted, “#BhaagMilkhaBhaag should touch/cross 100 cr mark tonite/tomorrow. Third 100 cr grosser of 2013, after #YehJawaaniHaiDeewani and #Race2”.
The film is showing no signs of decline even on its 4th week run at the Box Office. Experts say this Farhan Akhtar starrer is all set to enter the popular 100 crore club mostly by the end of its 4th weekend run. The business is good in North India especially in Delhi and UP circuits.
Last week, four new movies – Bajatey Raho, Nasha, Issaq and Luv U Soniyo were in the race with Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. Yet, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s directorial has once again topped the domestic collection charts. Undisturbed by new releases, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag is collecting cash at the ticket counters across the country.
Bhaag Milkha Bhaag has become the third highest Bollywood grosser of 2013. Trade experts predicted that the movie would reach 100 crore mark at the Indian Box Office by the end of the third week. But, the movie has fallen short by Rs 1.7 crore. Now, it is sure the movie would enter 100 crore movie club in its 22nd or 23rd day.
