Macau, July 7 (): The 14th International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards commenced on Thursday in Macau with brand ambassador Abhishek Bachchan formally announcing the awards weekend open.
A good crowd of actors were present at the first press meet held at the Venetian, the official venue of the IIFA Awards Weekend. Bollywood stars were in full attendance to attend the green carpet of IIFA.
Bollywood stars Shahid Kapoor, Ayushmann Khurrana, Arjun Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, Parineeti Chopra, Sophie Choudry and Gauhar Khan were in attendance.
Sridevi came with husband Boney Kapoor and R. Balki walked in with director wife Gauri Shinde. Actors Zayed Khan, Aftab Shivdasani, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Sonu Sood also made it to Macau on the second day. Madhuri Dixit was her usual elegant self in a Manish Malhotra outfit.
South superstar Kamal Haasan was also spotted at the arrival terminal in Macau, dressed in a basic white tee. Spotted with him was sound engineer Resul Pookutty.
Shah Rukh Khan gave a grand entrance on July 5th, sporting a sling after a recent injury. The actor, who arrived with cheers from fans, will also be promoting his next film Chennai Express in IIFA 2013 with Deepika Padukone, who arrived in Macau on the same flight as him.
Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone walked on the IIFA 2013 green carpet. SRK looked dashing as usual in formals in his usual favourite black dress. He did not have his arm in a sling while walking on the green carpet.
Deepika Padukone looked stunningly lovely in a Naeem Khan pant gown from the designer’s 2013 Spring collection. The beaded jacket, the ponytail and the oxblood lips went well with the look. The Chennai Express actors did show a few funny dance moves on the green carpet.
The members of the Indian film industry have assembled here in Macau to celebrate yet another year of movies and box office success at 14th IIFA.
