Chennai, July 4 (): Director Hari is back with a sequel to his blockbuster movie Singam. Usually, Tamil cinema is not very comfortable with sequels. However, the great success of Singam and the commercial elements of the movie have driven the director to reprise the roar of Duraisingam in Singam 2.
Suriya fans and film critics are waiting eagerly with their eyebrows raised for the release of the movie. Singam 2 is all set to roar tomorrow, July 5.
Singam 2, Tamil action – masala entertainer movie, is directed by Hari and produced by S Lakshman Kumar. The movie features Suriya, Anushka Shetty and Hansika Motwani in lead roles, while Vivek and Santhanam play supporting roles.
Director Hari has revealed that the sequel movie, Singam 2 will start from where it was left out in Singam. Suriya played Duraisingam, a charismatic character in Singam. Anushka played the love interest of Suriya; she played her role pretty well and the on-screen chemistry between the lovers clicked well, especially for the songs.
In Singam 2, Duraisingam returns to his home town after blasting the rogues. He works as an undercover agent and goes out hunting the smuggled and illegal possession of arms along the ports. Then, the movie is taken to an international arena of criminals.
Just as Singam, Singam 2 will also be a complete entertainer of all sorts, with romance, thrills, comedy, sentiments and fights. Vivek plays the same role Yeetu “Erimalai” and is ready to show his best comedy line-up in the sequel.
In Singam 2, Anushka is reprising the role Kavya and the new inclusion in the sequel is Hansika Motwani. The mystery is how the director will introduce Hansika, as it is not clear on how the romance will crux out.
Certified ‘U’, Singam 2 will be released in more than 2400 screens worldwide simultaneously both in Tamil and Telugu. The movie has been dubbed in Telugu as Singam. The movie is expected to attract the family audience in the same way the original did.
