Mumbai, July 3 (): Shah Rukh Khan and his wife Gauri have been blessed with another baby boy, born with the help of a surrogate mother.
The report is confirmed by Manisha Mhaiskar of Additional Municipal Commissioner of the Mumbai civic body (BMC). She said that the BMC has received a birth certificate which carries the names of Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan as the parents of the surrogate child.
The Bombay Municipal Corporation (BMC) claims that a baby boy has already been born to Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri on May 27 at Masrani Hospital for Women in Andheri. BMC executive health officer Dr Arun Bamne said the child was born at 34 weeks of pregnancy and weighed 1.5 kg at birth.
The Bombay Municipal Corporation has received a birth report detailing that a baby has been delivered in Mumbai and has Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan listed as his parents. On the basis of this birth report the BMC has to issue a birth certificate to the parents.
Even though no confirmed reports about the surrogate mother are known, some reports say that the surrogate mother is Gauri’s sister-in-law Namita Chibber. Some family friends of Khans said the surrogate mother had already flown back to London.
The baby was said to have been taken from Masrani to Nanavati Hospital, Juhu, and finally to Breach Candy Hospital. It is believed that the baby boy has been discharged from Breach Candy and is home with the Khans in the Khan mansion, Mannat.
Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri already have a 15-year-old son Aryan and a 13-year-old daughter Suhana and this surrogate baby boy will be their third child. Gauri did not want to take risks of pregnancy at the age of 47 – so, they opted for surrogacy.
At this joyous moment in their lives, SRK is involved in a major dispute following reports that the couple had chosen for a pre-birth sex determination test.
