Delhi University releases second cut-off list 2013

New Delhi, June 30 ():  Delhi University has released the much-awaited second cut-off list for admissions to its various four-year undergraduate programs. The second cut-off list of all these colleges will be declared today. Admissions for the second cut-off will commence from Monday, July 1. 

While an average drop in cut-offs across most courses like Humanities and Science ranged between 0.25-1.5 percentage points, a sharp drop of 4 percentage points was noted in Philosophy at Lady Shri Ram (LSR).

Several colleges have closed admissions to History and Political Science course programs,LSR’s cut-off percentage for History stands at 95.25 percent. Admissions to Commerce and Economics streams are still open.

Commerce cut-offs for almost all colleges are over 90 percent with 

Ramjas having a cut-off range at 96-98%

Hansraj at 96.75%

Kirorimal at 96.25%

College of Vocational Studies at 94-97% and

ShyamLal at 88%.

For the in-demand Economics course,

Hansraj has put its cut-off at 96.75%

Shyamlal at 87.5%

Ramjas  at 94-97%

Kirorimal at 94.75-97.75%

College of Vocational Studies at 93.5-95.5%

Shri Ram College of Commerce is still open at 97.25%

For Science stream, 

Physics cut-offs for Ramjas stands at 94.66%

Hansraj at 95.66% and

Kirorimal at 95.33%.

For Chemistry,

Ramjas has declared its second cut-off at 94%

Hansraj at 95.33% and

Kirorimal at 94.33%.

For English,

Hansraj has fixed its second cut-off range at 94-96.5%

Kirorimal at 92-96% and

Shyamlal at 83.5%.

Admissions to Geography, Political Science, History,  Botany, Zoology, Statistics and Urdu courses have been closed at Kirorimal while Ramjas has closed admissions in English, Zoology and Statistics.

Admissions in reserved category are open in almost all courses.  

Even off-campus colleges like Agrasen, ARSD, Ramnujan and Bhaskaracharya had a house-full status in first cut-offs due to newly launched B.Tech course in Computer Science and Electronics this year. 

More than 2.5 lakh applications have been received this year by the Delhi University (DU). The soaring first cut-offs were released by the Delhi University on 27th June,2013. The second cut-offs by the DU should give a glimmer of hope for the students to make it to their colleges and courses of their choice.
