New Delhi, June 28 (): Students who have qualified the JEE Advanced 2013 examination are now busy participating in the online counselling which will come to an end on June 30.
Counselling will provide the students an opportunity to obtain the course and institutes of their choice. Students have also shown interest for dual degree course. As all the years have shown, this year too, students have shown more interest in subjects like Computer Science, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical and Civil Engineering courses.
Reports says that students mostly opt for IIT-Mumbai, IIT-Delhi, IIT-Madras, IIT-Kanpur, IIT IIT-Guhawati and IIT-Kharagpur, IIT-Roorkee, and IIT-BHU.
IITs that have been newly constituted including IIT-Gandhinagar, IIT- Mandi, and IIT-Ropar are given second preference. Seat allotments will likely be announced on July 2.
Students who qualified for the JEE Advanced are notified that they can get their documents verified at their respective IITs from July 4 to July 8. As soon as the process of verification gets completed, student will be allocated IITs and the courses based on the marks scored by them. Successful candidates will be reporting to their respective IITs on July 20 and 21.
Candidates should keep in mind that JEE Advanced 2013 counselling will be conducted in three rounds and candidates who have been selected based on their performance in the JEE Advanced 2013 exam will only be eligible for this counselling that is on from June 24.
Round 1 allotment list will be declared on – July 4
Round 2 allotment list will be declared on – July 9
Round 3 allotment list will be declared on – July 13
Students are advised to check once a round is completed till the third round of counselling.
Students should also keep in mind that they must be physically present at the time of verification of documents.
