Modi to proclaim 2014 agenda in Mumbai today

Mumbai, June 27 (): BJP’s Lok Sabha polls campaign committee head and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi is likely to proclaim his agenda for the 2014 General Elections in Mumbai today.

After being appointed to the elevated post, the Gujarat Chief Minister has chosen Mumbai from where he will begin his journey as the BJP’s placard boy for the 2014 Lok Sabha polls.
This being Modi’s first visit to Mumbai after his elevation as chairman of the party’s poll panel, the BJP icon will address a CII meeting at Hotel Taj Mahal and  will also release a book at the Bombay Stock Exchange auditorium at Dalal Street.

Vinay Sahsrabuddhe, RSS ideologue talking to reporters said that for good governance, Modiji has chosen Mumbai to unveil his agenda. Newly-appointed BJP chief of the Mumbai city, Ashish Shelar claimed that as Mumbai is considered all over the world for its industrial skills, Modi has taken the right decision in selecting Mumbai  as his first stop before he goes on his nationwide march.

Modi is scheduled to unveil the agenda for 2014 and is expected to meet BJP leaders from Maharashtra and is also likely to discuss on improving ties with the Shiv Sena after addressing the industry honchos at a CII meet, said sources from the BJP.

Following the JD (U) withdrawal from the NDA recently, the BJP will be in a position to keep the alliance intact after the recent cartwheel by the Sena over Modi which spanked new apprehensions. After alleging that Modi acted in a disruptive manner by rescuing only Gujaratis from the flood-hit Uttarakhand, the Sena later took a U-turn and said that it never criticized the Gujarat chief minister.
