Box office collection : Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (YJHD) declared ‘All Time Blockbuster’, earns 183 crore

Mumbai, June 25 (): Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani has been declared as All Time Blockbuster now, as the box office collections of the movie is crossing new landmarks with each passing day. The film has collected very well in almost all the territories released.

Though the Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone starrer – YJHD is witnessing a decline in its collections by the end of the fourth weekend, the film has been declared an all-time blockbuster. The total collection in its fourth weekend stands at Rs 183.19 crore.

Trade expert Taran Adarsh tweeted, “#YJHD collected approx Rs 6.10 cr nett in its Weekend 4. Grand total: Rs 183.19 cr nett. ALL TIME BLOCKBUSTER”.

The fourth weekend collection is 6.10 crore. Taran also wrote the break-up for the fourth weekend, “#YJHD Breakup for Weekend 4:- Fri 1.40 cr, Sat 2.10 cr, Sun 2.60 cr. Grand total: Rs 183.19 cr nett”.

The release of “Raanjhanaa” on Friday (21 June) might hinder the collections of “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani further. Raanjhanaa, starring Dhanush and Sonam Kapoor in lead roles, has received appreciation from film critics and a good response from audiences. The movie is running successfully in theatres collecting a whooping sum in its opening weekend.

In the coming weeks, big budget films including Vidya-Emraan’s “Ghanchakkar” and Ranveer-Sonakshi’s “Lootera” are set to hit the screens and these films could hinder the collections of “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani”.

The latest trends of the movie say the Ranbir starrer might not touch the 200 crore mark set by Aamir Khan’s “3 Idiots”. Experts say, the lifetime collections of YJHD should be around 190 -193 cr nett depending on coming weeks.

Now, “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani” remains at the third spot in the top three Hindi film grossers chart. “3 Idiots” tops the list with a lifetime collection of Rs 202.47 crore, followed by Salman Khan’s “Ek Tha Tiger” which raked in a total of Rs 198.78 crore in the domestic market.
