Rajinikanth to watch ‘Raanjhanaa’ before its release, says Dhanush

Chennai, June 20 (): Rajinikanth is very much anxious to watch the Bollywood movie, Raanjhanaa, which is his son-in-law Dhanush’s Hindi debut film. While talking to the reporters, Dhanush revealed that the southern Superstar is expected to watch the film at a special screening.

Dhanush said that Rajinikanth was expected to watch the movie on June 21. He said the comments of Rajini will be much valuable for him.

The makers of the film have planned for a special screening of the movie for the Superstar in Chennai. Superstar’s wife Latha Rajinikanth, his daughters Aishwarya Dhanush and Soundarya Ashwin along with other important family members are likely to watch the film at the special premiere of the movie.

Sources said director Aanand L Rai along with producer Krishika Lulla will travel to Chennai to host the screening. It is not yet known if Sonam Kapoor, who stars opposite Dhanush in the film, will fly down to attend the private screening.

Kolaveri Di fame actor is entering Bollywood with ‘Raanjhanaa’, but has not discussed about the film with his father-in-law. Dhanush said that he had been very busy with his work while Rajini had also been busy with his work. They had not spoken about the film yet.

Now, as the movie is releasing with much hype, Dhanush is very excited to get the feedback from the Endhiran star. Rajinikanth is known for being critical about performances.

‘Raanjhanaa’ is a love story, directed by Anand L. Rai and produced by Eros International. The love happens between a Muslim girl and a Hindu boy. The movie is set in the backdrops of Benaras and Delhi. It features Sonam Kapoor, Abhay Deol and Swara Bhaskar in important roles.

Raanjhanaa is also being released in Tamil as ‘Ambikapathy’. However, the Tamil version will hit the cinemas a week after the Hindi movie.

Raanjhanaa releases tomorrow, on June 21, 2013 and incidentally, the movie releases exactly 30 years after Rajinikanth’s Hindi debut Andhaa Kanoon (1983) hit the theatres.
