Shahrukh Khan beats Amitabh Bachchan, Sachin Tendulkar to become most popular father

Mumbai, June 17 (): Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan, loving father of Aryan and Suhana, has been voted India’s most popular father in a Father’s Day poll conducted by a web site.

Shahrukh married Gauri Chibber on 25 October 1991. They have two children, son Aryan (b. 1997) and daughter Suhana (b. 2000). Shahrukh considers his children as his best friends. Aryan Khan has now moved to London for his higher studies at the Sevenoaks School, one of the oldest and most prestigious schools.

Shahrukh said in an occasion that he had realized that as their children are getting older, they are his greatest friends. SRK had realized such a feeling on Friendship Day and had really enjoyed himself with his children. The actor usually shares all his deep, dark secrets, his happiest or saddest moments with them.

Shahrukh is a perfect father and it is even said that SRK and Gauri are planning to have a third child through surrogacy.

The Father’s Day poll was conducted by the popular matrimonial site, Shaadi.com. Through a number of votes, Shahrukh Khan has pushed back megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who has a daughter, a son and three grandchildren.

The site conducted the poll among more than 11, 000 women in India and the results were declared on 15 June, a day ahead of Father’s Day.

Shahrukh topped the chart receiving 34.83 percent votes, while Amitabh came second by receiving 31.58 percent of the votes and cricketer Sachin Tendulkar took the third place by receiving 18.61 percent votes.

Apart from the most popular father survey, the site also conducted another survey for the most popular father-daughter relationship and Big B topped the list. Big B’s daughter Shweta is married to businessman Nikhil Nanda and has two children. In the poll conducted, Big B was chosen by 31.58 percent of the women surveyed.

For the second spot, veteran actor Jeetendra Kapoor and daughter Ekta Kapoor received 35.06 percent votes, followed by Anil Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor with 22.42 percent in third place.
