NEET UG 2013 Counselling: Important information

June 17 ():  The NEET UG 2013 Counselling is to be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) soon, the date of which is not yet confirmed by CBSE authorities.

In the first NEET UG 2013, a total of 658040 candidates appeared in the exam and 366317 candidates have qualified the same. The exam was conducted at 1251 examination centres located in 85 cities all over India and abroad.

The NEET UG 2013 results were declared on 5th June,2013.  Candidates can access their results on http://cbseresults.nic.inhttp://cbseneet.nic.in/cbseneet/welcome.aspx, and http://www.cbse.nic.in.

The result of candidates appeared in the NEET-UG indicates marks obtained in each subject, percentile score, NEET All India Rank, Rank for All India Quota Seats, AFMC and State Quota seats. The cut-off score for qualifying in NEET-UG is also provided in the Result Sheet.

Now,with the results declared, students have to complete the formalities with respect to counselling. The details and schedule of counselling would be available on the websites of  MOHFW, Medical Education Directorates of States, AFMC, Institutions and Universities  concerned.

The counselling would be conducted by the respective counselling authorities through personal appearance/online counselling subject to conditions for admission in Medical /Dental Colleges under their domain.

The Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER) usually carries out the admission procedure for medical/dental colleges. This is the first time the DMER is conducting admissions through NEET, according to reports.

Documents necessary for NEET UG 2013 counselling

Students have to provide the original certificates of the following along with one attested copy of each: 

1. NEET UG 2013 Score Card
2. Marksheet of Class 10 and 12
3. Rural weightage certificate
4. Domicile and category reservation certificates
5. NEET UG 2013 Admit Card

As the date of counselling for NEET UG 2013 has not yet been confirmed by the authorities,  candidates are advised to be in touch with the respective official websites for updates.
