Kochadaiyaan set for Diwali release

Chennai, June 13 (): The most-awaited film of this year, Rajinikanth starrer Kochadaiyaan, is expected to hit the screens this Diwali. However, an official announcement regarding the release date is not received, but sources say the makers are planning for Diwali release.

Kochadaiyaan has finished the shooting formalities but the post-production works with loads of VFX are taking much time as Soundarya Ashwin, director of “Kochadaiyaan” does not want to compromise even a single slide.

Produced by Media One Global Entertainment and Eros International, “Kochadaiyaan” has superstar Rajinikanth, Deepika Padukone in lead roles and Sarath Kumar, Shobana, Aadi Pinisetty, Nassar and Jackie Shroff in pivotal roles. While KS Ravi Kumar has penned the script, Oscar award winner AR Rahman has composed music for the film.

Rajinikanth has sung a song for the Hindi version. The lyrics of the song were penned by Vairamuthu, which were translated into Hindi by Irshad Kamal. The theme of the song is “man loves land, but ultimately land grabs him, as he becomes greedy once he gets land.”

Reports say, the makers are planning to release the film in three Indian languages – Tamil, Hindi and Telugu as well as in Japanese, French and Italian.

The trailer was expected to be launched at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival last month in France. But, the trailer was not released then as the makers wanted to release the trailer in the best format and the trailer was not ready by the time.

Recently, rumours were going around saying the trailer might be launched on 9 June.  However, Soundarya Ashwin had rubbished the reports. She tweeted, “Hey guys … I connect with u directly. Any updates about movie I will give u. Pls don’t believe rumours. Have a great day!”

She further tweeted – “Trailer shaping out well. Working on more surprises. All efforts are going in to release it as soon as possible.”
