Mumbai, June 11 (): The second weekend collections of Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone starrer, “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani” beat “Ek Tha Tiger” the romantic action thriller of Salman Khan at the domestic box office.

“Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani” raked in approximately Rs 28.75 crore, thus taking up the second position in the second weekend collections chart. Now, YJHD is placed after Aamir Khan’s “3 Idiots” which minted around Rs 33 crore in its second week. “Ek Tha Tiger” had collected approximately Rs 20.74 crore in the second weekend of its release.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “#YJHD collected Rs 28.75 cr nett in its Weekend 2. Grand total: Rs 136.36 cr nett. Weekend 2:- Fri 7 cr, Sat 10.25 cr, Sun 11.50 cr”.

The movie brings in the audience still in a big way, the theatres are almost filled. Taran tweeted, “#YJHD is unstoppable even in Week 2. Mon 5.5 cr. Grand total: Rs 141.86 cr nett. Karan Johar, UTV, Ranbir and Deepika’s biggest hit!”

The romantic flick, which reunites Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone first time post their break-up, is received well by the audience in the overseas market too. The movie raked in Rs 9.63 crore at the overseas markets during the second week.

Taran wrote, “#YJHD is fantabulous in intl markets. Overseas total *after second weekend* stands at $ 7.4 million [Rs 43.04 cr]. Blockbuster!”

On seeing the excellent collection of the movie, Taran Adarsh opined that “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani”, which hit the screens on 31st May, might cross Rs 150 crore by the end of second week of its release.

YJHD is now almost certain to cross 160 cr nett and should beat “Dabangg 2″ to become 3rd biggest grosser of Bollywood.

The film has no other competition in the coming days; there is a strong possibility that YJHD can join 3 Idiots in the 200-crore-club. 3 Idiots is the only Hindi film to have made this record in the Indian box-office. However, even if that does not happen, YJHD can safely claim to have delivered the second biggest hit of all-time.
