Mumbvai, June 2 (): Akshay Kumar along with Sonakshi Sinha and Imran Khan recently unveiled the first look of his upcoming crime-drama flick ‘Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai Again’ in Mumbai.
Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Again, a sequel of 2010 hit ‘Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai’ will hit the theatres on 8th August 2013. The Milan Luthria-directed sequel is a gangster-romantic flick with Akshay, Imran Khan and Sonakshi Sinha as protagonists.
Akshay Kumar plays the role of underworld don Shoaib Khan and for the launch, the actor came in the same appearance as his character in the film. To bring back the retro look, Akshay looked dapper in a black suit and dark shades, sporting a handlebar moustache.
The 45-year-old actor will be playing the role of a villain for the very first time in his acting career, and he seemed very happy to break his hero image. Akshay will take forward the character played by Emraan Hashmi in OUTIM.
Imran Khan essays the role of gangster Aslam and he arrived in true tapori style. The actor said that he took inspiration from Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff to play his part to understand how things were back then in 80s.
Akshay Kumar made his entry in a vintage car, while Imran Khan came on a bike in the chawl.
Sonakshi Sinha plays the role of actress Yasmin in the movie and she too appeared in an in-character appearance for the launch. The actress was dressed in a black and gold churidar- kurta with heavy embroidery work in neck and hem.
Filmmaker Milan Luthria, actor Jeetendra and Tusshar Kapoor were also present at the launch event.
Milan said while the prequel, Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai was about gangs and goons, the sequel is a passionate love triangle. He added it was a personal story, graduating from the theme of power struggle to romance.
