Karachi, May 6 (ANI): Pakistan left-arm spinner Abdur Rehman is hopeful of playing for his country in next month’s ICC Champions Trophy in England owing to his experience of playing in the English county circuit alongside offspinner Saeed Ajmal, current captain Mohammad Hafeez and former captain Shoaib Malik.
Rehman said that he is not worried even if he is not in Pakistan’s first choice of 11 players for the Test series as the team requires only two spinners. But he believes that he can make a difference if selected.
Rehman was banned for 12 weeks after he failed a cannabis drug test during the county season, and though he was a part of the squad for the tour to South Africa, he was not included in any of the Tests or the ODIs, the Daily Times reports. (ANI)
