Mumbai, May 2 (): Shootout at Wadala, is a true story based on the first-ever registered encounter by the Mumbai Police, which took place at the junction next to Dr. Ambedkar College, Wadala, on November 1, 1982, when gangster Nitesh Dhamne was shot dead.
Shootout at Wadala is set in the early 80s with too much potential for action. Shootout At Wadala is the sequel of 2007 movie Shootout At Lokhanwala. SAW is directed by Sanjay Gupta, produced under the banner of Balaji Motion Pictures while the music is composed by Anu Malik, Mustafa Zahid, Anand Raj Anand and Meet Brothers.
The film features John Abraham, Anil Kapoor, Kangna Ranaut, Tusshar Kapoor, and Sonu Sood in lead roles.
Actor John Abraham plays don Manya Surve in the film while Anil Kapoor plays a cop. To play the 1980s underworld king, Abraham had to work effortlessly upon his imagination and experience.
The trailer shows John Abraham yelling at the top of his lungs, which clearly points the typical Sanjay Gupta styles of fight sequences.
Shooutout At Wadala has three item songs totally. Sunny Leone dances for the item song titled Laila Teri Le Legi, Priyanka Chopra features in ‘Babli badmash’ and Sophie Chowdry features in ‘Ala re Manya’.
Laila is Sunny’s first item song and it has a classic traditional flavour. In the song, Sunny takes up a desi avatar, wearing lehenga-choli, all designed by Manish Malhotra.
Priyaanka Chopra’s Babli Badmash give a retro feel. The costume of Barfi! girl has been designed by Manish Malhotra to give a retro look. The designer has also improved the costumes to give her a distinct style. The item song has been composed by Anu Malik, sung by Sunidhi Chauhan and choreographed by Ahmed Khan.
Now, Shooutout At Wadala SAW is all set to release tomorrow, May 3.
