Suresh Raina’s superb 63 runs not out off 50 balls and Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s 45 runs not out off 16 balls with four fours and three sixes strengthened the position of Chennai Super Kings at the top of the table with a 37-run win over Pune Warriors in the IPL match, held in Pune on Wednesday.

After Dhoni opted to bat, Chennai were just 55 in ten overs, accelerated to 102 in 15 and then sacked 62 off the last five to finish their innings with 164/3.

Paceman Mohit Sharma made the Pune top-order to struggle. In his fiery spell, he dismissed Aaron Finch (15), T Suman (0) and Yuvraj Singh (5), after which the hosts could not recover and managed just 127 for nine.
