Chennai Super Kings have defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by 14 runs in a very thrilling encounter, when the game once appeared to be as a one-sided affair but soon turned upside down.

After invited to bat first, Australian batsman Michael Hussey smashed 95 runs in 59 balls pushing 11 boundaries and 2 sixes. Along with the opening partner Wriddhiman Saha (39), Hussey rattled 103 in 10 overs and then added 55 for the second wicket with Suresh Raina, who took a quick-fire 25-ball 44.

Dhoni finally scored a useful 18 off 12 balls to help CSK reach the 200-run mark.

Kolkata started their chase of 201 runs in right earnest, scoring at a good pace. Manvinder Bisla’s 92 took KKR to a good position. Finally, KKR needed 19 runs off six ball to win. With the excellent bowling of Chris Morris in the last over with just four runs off it, it made a great the difference for Chennai yesterday.
