London, Apr.26 (ANI): Former light welterweight champion Amir Khan has reportedly said that he will not allow his children to take up boxing as a sport for their living.
Khan intends to get his career back on track at Sheffield’s Motorpoint Arena but has already put a ban on his children with Faryal Makhdoom to get inside the ring, the Sun reports.
Khan admitted that he will never let his children do boxing or go to the gym as he is aware of the difficulties in the sports, adding that he would want them to educate themselves and get into qualified positions and not force them to enter the ring.
Khan confessed that his mother had been through difficult times seeing her son fighting in the ring and will face more agony with brother Haroon Khan joining the sport with his debut fight at Sheffield, and wants that his wife should not undergo the same frustation and pain. (ANI)
