Shahrukh, Madhuri, Aamir to appear together in ‘Bombay Talkies’ title track

Mumbai, Apr 26 (): Bombay Talkies is a collection of four short films directed by Karan Johar, Anurag Kashyap, Zoya Akhtar and Dibakar Bannerjee. This special movie celebrates 100 years of Indian cinema.

The makers have shot a special title track which brings together as many as 20 screen stars, who are the topmost actors and actresses from Bollywood. The song is common to the entire film and expected to play as the title song. Some say that the song might be played at the end of the film.

Sources say the leading ladies will be dressed in golden-coloured costumes, while the men will be dressed in formal outfits. The outfits for the actors were designed by their own stylists.

The song, titled ‘Apna Bombay talkies’, will be choreographed by Vaibhavi Merchant and it has started creating a lot of expectations before it is ready.

The lead stars featuring in the song are Khans – Aamir, Shahrukh and Saif Ali – to leading ladies like Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit and Rani Mukerji. Others who will feature in the song are Sridevi, Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra, Akshay Kumar, Shahid Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar, Ranveer Singh, Imran Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor and Juhi Chawla.

The track is sung by reputed singers Shaan, Sunidhi Chauhan, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Abhijeet, Kumar Sanu, S.P. Balasubramaniam, Alka Yagnik, Sonu Nigam, Mohit Chauhan, Sudesh Bhonsle, Shilpa Rao, Shreya Ghosal, KK, Sukhwinder Singh and Udit Narayan.

This is quite rare in Bollywood and never before have so many singers teamed up together for one song. And, the interesting part is that the singers had recorded for those actors whom they generally do the playback singing for in their movies.

The source further said that Vaibhavi has beautifully choreographed this number. The song took over a month to be shot entirely as all the actors had been independently shot for their parts.
