Chennai, Apr 25 (): Superstar Rajinikanth was recently spotted in a private party thrown to yesteryear sensational actress Sridevi Kapoor by Radhika Sarathkumar at the 5-star hotel, Taj Coromandel.
Sridevi was in Chennai for a last couple of days and a private bash was held to honour Sridevi, who was recently awarded the ‘Padma Shri’ award by the Union government. Around 50 guests from Tamil film industry were invited for the party.
Superstar Rajinikanth along with his daughter Aishwarya Dhanush attended the party. The other important guests were KS Ravikumar, Jayam Ravi, Lissy Priyadarshan, Khushboo, Sneha, Poornima, Jayachitra, PC Sreeram, Vyjayanthi Mala, Devi Sri Prasad, Priya Anand, Prabhu, Vivek and many others.
Rajini made a grand entry into the Ballroom of the Taj Coromandel a few minutes after the party started. Superstar spent a long time at the venue and was seen chatting with Sridevi and her husband Boney Kapoor. He was also interestingly chatting with other guests at the party.
Rajinikanth made his debut in Tamil films in Apoorva Raagangal opposite Sridevi Kapoor. Since then, the actors have starred opposite each other in more than 20 films in Tamil and Hindi.
Media reports said that the celebrities of the bash had great fun. The veteran stars recalled their past association with Sridevi and remembered their good old days. The young stars were overwhelmed to talk to her. Priya Anand, who had worked with her in English Vinglish last year, also got an opportunity to meet her once again.
Sridevi’s friends in the industry did not lose the opportunity to take photos with her.
Aishwarya Dhanush had tweeted “Had such a lovely evening wit Sridevi ..was so much fun listening to their cherished yester memories. .!”
Talking about the bash, Radhika Sarathkumar tweeted, “Honouring Sridevi . A well deserved honour”.
Khushboo responded, “Never a dull moment with @realradikaa around..thank u so much for such a wonderful eve darling..loads of hugs.”
In another tweet Radhika wrote that she would love to see Sridevi more often in Chennai. “@SrideviBKapoor looking forward to see you more often in namma Chennai :-)”
