Raanjhnaa : First trailer of Sonam Kapoor, Dhanush starrer movie out

Mumbai, Apr 25 (): The first theatrical trailer of Sonam Kapoor-Dhanush starrer Raanjhnaa is out.

Tamil superstar Dhanush is making his big Bollywood debut opposite Sonam Kapoor in Raanjhanaa. Raanjhanaa, directed by Anand L Rai of Tanu Weds Manu fame, is an intense love story set in Varanasi.

The first trailer of the movie was released a day before and one dialogue from the movie where the character of Dhanush, Kundan uses an abusive language “G… phat gayi … siyega kya?” has made it trend on Twitter.

Aishwaryaa, Dhanush’s wife and Tamil superstar Rajinikanth’s elder daughter, has praised her husband’s Hindi speaking skills in the movie. She tweeted: The trailer of Raanjhana is out !!! Omg I love it :-):-) check it out …love my hindi talking @dhanushkraja.

The exclusive theatrical trailer shows the colours of love with Dhanush and Sonam Kapoor in this upcoming romantic film. The trailer starts with Dhanush learning a lesson watching one of the most popular love triangle films of Bollywood, ‘Saajan’. He decides to make his childhood love turn to something much more meaningful.

He then follows Sonam to get noticed by her. He always keep an eye on her, jumps into her rickshaw, stands outside her house, gets slapped multiple times, but he does not stop following her.

Sonam plays a 17-year-old cute girl dressed in a checked school uniform with two oily plaits. Abhay plays an aspiring politician, who is in love with Sonam. The trailer shows that Dhanush in no way will leave Sonam to Abhay.

Along with the trailer, the team has also launched two brand new posters of the film – one shows Dhanush and Sonam playing Holi. The Banaras background with plenty of colours add a lot of flavour to the poster. The other poster features Abhay Deol with a famous quote from Pablo Nervada.

Music for the movie is scored by A.R. Rahman, which is soulful and melodious as ever. Bannered under Eros and produced by Krishika Lulla, ‘Raanjhanaa’ is slated for June 21, 2013 release.
