Golfer Rory McIlroy heads for Monte Carlo after losing Masters

London, Apr.15 (ANI): Northern Ireland’s USPGA champion Rory McIlroy left for Monte Carlo with his girlfriend after a disappointing week, persisting that he can still win the jackpot at the Masters.

The golf ace said that he was happy with his present form and would surely win the Green Jacket the next season, the Daily Mirror reports.

The report said that McIlroy believes he has played well, earning good scores and he only has to put them together in a span of a week to win the Masters, adding that there will be several more opportunities for the golfer to get closer to the trophy.

The report further stated that McIlroy started with a round of 70 and 72 but dropped eight shots in eight holes, ending his hopes of joining the Major.

While the golfer believes he needs to work on his emotional self as he had a bad stretch of holes though he played decent, Charlotte, his next destination awaits his likely victory after the defeat, as had happened in the past two years, the report added. (ANI)
