Mumbai, Mar 26 (): The trailer of the movie Toofan, the Telugu version of most anticipated Hindi film Zanjeer was out on the internet on March 25. The 2.37-minutes long trailer of the movie offers enough hint about all the lead actors like Ram Charan Teja, Priyanka Chopra, Prakash Raj, Shrihari and Tanikela Bharani.

The lead star cast of Toofan – Telugu superstar Ram Charan Teja and Priyanka Chopra were present at the launch function of the first trailer of the Telugu version of Zanjeer in Hyderabad. Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the movie is set for a May 10th release.

Earlier, the launch function of the trailer was planned on the occasion of Ram Charan Teja’s birthday on March 27, but the launch function had been preponed to March 25.

Director Apoorva Lakhia posted on Twitter, “#Thoofan #Zanjeer promo launch @ park hyatt in hyd today. Bday gift for u all in advance. Hope u like it. Goes viral tonight after function.”

But the Hindi trailer is not yet released. For those waiting for Hindi trailer, Lakhia writes, “Hindi trailer/teaser of ‘Zanjeer’ will follow two days after the release of (the trailer) of ‘Toofan.’”

Toofan is a remake of 1973 Hindi film Zanjeer starring Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan in lead roles. The film is being simultaneously shot in Hindi and Telugu.

Ram Charan is playing the police officer, while Priyanka plays his wife. Prakash Raj, Shrihari and Tanikela Bharani are playing the negative roles.

The trailer of Toofan shows that the director has given a modern touch to the old film with all available high-technology. The film is an action entertainer, which has well-choreographed fights and the trailer offers few clips of the hero’s encounters with the baddies.

Priyanka Chopra has acted in few bold scenes in the movie. She gets intimate with Ram Charan Teja and their chemistry is tremendous. Ram Charan looks very challenging and it appears he will surely rock the film audience in North India.
