Nexus 7 tablet available on Google Play India store

New Delhi, Mar 26 (): The much-awaited Nexus 7 tablet will be available in the Indian markets through the Google Play Store for Rs 15,999 and it will ship to consumers on April 5.

Eric Schmidt, the Google Executive Chairman, during his visit in India promised that Nexus will be sold through Google Play Store. The Nexus tablets are very popular among Indian users as they run through the unmodified version of Android. It will be available with 1 year of warranty from the date of purchase.

The 16 GB version of the tablet was first unveiled in June last year and went on sale in July 2012. The 16 GB Wi – Fi version Nexus 7 tablet is the most basic model available globally.

The tablet has a 7-inch screen with a resolution of 1280×800 pixels at 216 ppi with Gorilla Glass coating, comes with a 1.3 GHz quad core Tegra 3 processor with a Geforce 12 core graphics processor.

The tablet has 1 GB RAM and 16 GB of internal storage with no expansion slots. It has a powerful 4325 mAH battery with a backup of 8 hours of active use and runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system. It has a 1.2 MP camera for front video chat. The tablet weighs 340 grams.  Its connectivity options include WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth NFC and GPS.

There are two models of the tablet, one is with 16 GB and the other comes with 32 GB internal storage capacity. Google has not stated the availability of the 32 GB tablet version of the Nexus 7 tablet in Indian markets.
