Mumbai, Mar 18 (ANI): The cast of the upcoming horror film, ‘Aatma’ (spirit) left fans in India’s showbiz capital, Mumbai asking for more on Sunday as they launched the movie’s music, while urging women to see the flick and experience the emotions behind the story that explores the paranormal.
The makers of the film called it a ‘psychological thriller’, where the mother must fight to keep her daughter safe from the ghost of her father.
The movie features Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu and actor Nawazuddin Siddique in lead roles.
Basu, who is not new to this genre, said that all women who are scared of horror films should watch this movie for its gripping emotional sub-plots.
“I just want, specially the girls who are scared of supernatural films, I just want to say to them that Aatma (spirit) is not just a horror film, it is also an emotional film and many girls will identify with the emotions in the film. So I want the ladies out here come and watch Aatma for sure too, besides the men,” said Basu.
Before Aatma, Basu has also played lead roles in film exploring the supernatural, such as Raaz (secret), Raaz 3, Darna Zaroori Hai (it is important to be afraid) and Rakht (blood).
For actor Nawazuddin Siddique, known for his serious and rustic roles, this is his first venture in the horror films genre, although last year he starred in a suspense drama, ‘Talaash’ (search), which also starred actor Aamir Khan.
‘Aatma’ hits theatres across the country on March 22. (ANI)
