Baadshah audio launch stampede, a fan dies

Hyderabad, Mar 18 (): One of the fans of Junior NTR, Rajendra Prasad alias Raju, was suffocated to death in a stampede on Sunday evening, March 17, 2013, when a huge gathering tried to gain entry into the D. Rama Naidu Studios at Nanakramguda, Hyderabad, where the audio release function of Baadshah was being held.

The incident happened at about 7 p.m. when a huge crowd was standing outside the studios to gain entry. Previously, a large number of passes were given to guests; all of a sudden a huge crowd gathered and tried to enter the grounds.

Raju, who hailed from Warangal, fell down accidentally and the rushing crowds trampled on him. A few others who were injured in the stampede were rushed to a nearby hospital. The police have even lathi charged to control the fans. The huge crowd was due to the crowd pulling capacity of NTR.

Junior NTR said that he was saddened to know that he had lost one of his brothers at the audio launch. He said that all his fans are equivalent to his brothers and sisters. Producer Bandla Ganesh said he would donate Rs 5 lakh to Raju’s family.

Baadshah is a big budget movie, with NTR Jr and Kajal Agarwal playing the lead roles. Considering the big star cast, the makers of the film had issued special passes for entry of guests to the audio release function.

Baadshah is directed by Srinu Vaitla. Navdeep, Prakash Raj, Brahmanandam, Vennela Kishore, Chandra Mohan, Ritu Varma and Ajay are doing pivotal roles. Music for the film is composed by S.S. Thaman.

The sound track ‘Sairo Sairo’ was unveiled by Dil Raju and businessman Jayanth. The title song was unveiled by producer Sudhakar and director of the film Koratala Siva while Vamsi Pydipally and KS Ramarao launched the ‘Banthipoola Janaki’ song.

Simbu unveiled the most popular song of the album ‘Diamond girl’, which he has sung in the film.
