Mumbai, Mar 14 (): If the latest reports are true, Salman Khan will play the lead role in Rohit Shetty’s next directorial venture being produced by Karan Johar.
Salman Khan has been continuously giving hit movies and ruling the box-office for the past five years. ‘Wanted’, ‘Ready’, ‘Bodyguard’ ‘Dabangg’, and ‘Eka Tha Tiger’ are those few names which broke the box-office record. Karan Johar says Salman Khan is more than a superstar and his star power goes beyond his films.
Salman did a small role in Karan Johar’s directional debut film, ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’. After that cameo appearance, Salman has never featured in any of Karan’s films, be it his home production films or directorial ventures. But now Karan wishes to rope in Salman for a full length movie.
The producer-director while taking part in the “1000 crore Block Buster Film” session at 2013 FICCI Frames conference said that Salman had delivered six back-to-back blockbuster films. Everyone would like to work with Salman Khan and he too would like to work with Salman. Karan said it would be a dream to work with Salman Khan.
Karan was praising Salman in his exclusive interview. He said Salman’s fandom is very special and something that goes beyond the limits of his films. People do not hesitate to go and watch a film when there is Salman Khan. He has grabbed a unique place in the hearts of his fans that makes him a lot more than only being a superstar.
Karan has directed five films so far and out of them four had Sharukh Khan in the lead roles. ‘Kuch Kuch hota Hai’, ‘Kabhi Alvida Na Kahna’, ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’ and ‘My Name Is Khan’ are the four films and all of them did a fabulous business at the box-office and bagged rave reviews from the viewers.
