Amitabh Bachchan spends evening with Steven Spielberg

Mumbai, Mar 12 (): Amitabh Bachchan spent last evening with Hollywood filmmaker Steven Spielberg at Taj Lands End, Bandra, Mumbai. Spielberg has visited India to celebrate the success of his Oscar-winning film Lincoln, co-produced by DreamWorks (his own production house) and Anil Ambani’s Reliance Entertainment.

Big B was very excited on meeting the world acclaimed filmmaker. After meeting Spielberg, he posted on his blog srbachchan.tumblr.com, “An evening with an institution… an evening spent in conversation in the presence of select fraternity and press… an evening of sharing cinema with the prolific maker, inventor, story-teller, innovator and one who continues to surprise us with his genius”.

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan was in Bhopal for Prakash Jha’s ‘Satyagraha’, he has purposely flown down to Mumbai to meet the ace filmmaker – Steven Spielberg.

Industrialists Anil Ambani and his wife Tina Ambani had arranged a grand welcome party for the world-famous film maker and many Bollywood celebrities were invited to the party.

The catchiest moment of the event was Amitabh Bachchan’s meeting with Steven Spielberg. They spoke about the future of cinema. During the conversation, Spielberg also expressed his desire to make a film on Kashmir.

Steven Spielberg had a chat with Bollywood filmmakers and he shared filmmaking tips with them. 16 noted filmmakers of Bollywood had a conversation with Steven, when they shared opinions and ideas. Later the filmmakers snapped a photo with Steven Spielberg and his wife.

Steve has not come alone. He has come with his family. The whole family has left to New Delhi today and Spielberg will return to Los Angeles today, while his wife and son will be staying in India for eight more days to seek spiritual solace.

Steven Spielberg has won the Best Director Oscar twice, for Schindler’s List and Saving Private Ryan, and was also nominated this year for Lincoln, losing to Ang Lee who was nominated for Life Of Pi.
