Mumbai, Mar 6 (): Bollywood Badshah Shahrukh Khan has been signed up as the brand ambassador of the mango drink, Frooti.
Parle Agro, maker of Frooti, confirmed their association with Shahrukh Khan. The officials quoted, “The firm is taking forward its Jaago Re theme with its new association with Khan.” Nadia Chauhan, chief marketing officer and joint managing director of Parle Agro said the actor was chosen for his mass appeal.
The actor said in a statement that he was delighted to be the face of Frooti, the mango drink that the entire nation had always been fond of.
He feels there was hardly any brand that conjures up so much joy, so much desire and so much magic around it like the mango drink Frooti does. SRK feels really good about this association. The actor enjoyed being a part of the ad and also hoped his fans would enjoy watching the ad.
In the ad, SRK takes audiences back to the simple joys of enjoying the fresh, pure and juicy taste of mangoes on a hot day of summer.
The ad shoot was done in just three hours, in which the King Khan not only sang to Frooti tunes, but also enjoyed himself with the children on the set.
The actor has earlier endorsed beverage brand Pepsi, and joined forces with Sprite for his Indian Premier League team Kolkata Knight Riders later. SRK’s association with Frooti is already trending on Twitter with the tag – SRKLovesFrooti.
On Wednesday, the managers of Frooti would be previewing the new commercial, developed by Creative Land Asia, on Twitter. It would be screened on television this Sunday.
According to the January data by Times Celebex, a monthly celebrity rating index operated by the Times Group, Shahrukh Khan is the second-highest ranked celebrity after Salman Khan. He endorses about 19 brands.
