Mumbai, Mar 5 (): Bollywood’s big stars Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan are all set to appear in silver screen together after a gap of five long years, says reports.
The two dynamic actors last shared screen space before five years in the movie ‘Bhootnath’. While Amitabh did the lead role, SRK was seen in a special appearance in Bhoothnath.
Both had complete roles in Karan Johar’s 2006 film Kabhi Alvida Na Kehnaa and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001). They have worked together in ‘Mohabbatein’, Yash Chopra’s ‘Veer-Zaara’ and Amol Palekar’s ‘Paheli’.
Now, Pa director R Balki is expected to bring SRK and Big B on the screen together in his next film. He has planned to start the shooting of his film once the two stars complete their present commitments.
Amitabh Bachchan is at present busy doing his shooting for Prakash Jha’s Satyagraha in Bhopal with Ajay Devgn, Arjun Rampal and Kareena Kapoor and Shahrukh Khan is busy with Rohit Shetty’s next Chennai Express with Deepika Padukone. They have adjusted their respective schedules to act in Balki’s film.
Rumours say that the film will be co-produced by SRK’s production house, Red Chillies Entertainment and Big B’s banner ABCL. Apart from acting together, both the actors are likely to involve in the movie promotion and marketing.
An industry source said the plot of the film is kept as a secret but the two actors have agreed to work in the project because of its interesting and unique storyline. Balki was hunting for a suitable script for a long time for these two stars and hopefully he had found it.
Shahrukh is also doing a short film with R Balki. The short film is dedicated towards a social cause. It is about women’s safety in the country and the movie will be released on March 8 – Women’s Day.
