Box office collection : Aadhi Bhagavan collects 3.85 cr on its opening (first) day

Chennai, Feb 23 (): Aadhi Bhagavan, Tamil movie written and directed by Ameer Sultan, has collected 3.85 cr on its first day of release in Tamil Nadu box office.

Aadhi Bhagavan, starring Jayam Ravi and Neetu Chandra in lead roles, was released worldwide on 22nd February, 2013. It has opened well with an average response from the audiences. As per the reports given in superwoods, the movie collected 3.85 crores on its opening day of release.

Jayam Ravi has done an energetic role in the movie. The film was shot over a period of two years. Jayam Ravi has put in his hard work for this movie, which is obviously visible on the screen. The actor looks dashing throughout the movie as he has completely changed his physique for this movie.

Meanwhile, Neetu Chandra, who has played the role of Karishma, is quite glamorous as well as has some rough look in the film. Her chemistry with Jayam Ravi has worked well. Sudha Chandran, Ameer Sultan and Sakshi Sivanand have done justice to their roles, while others suit their characters well.

Two movies were released in Tamil Nadu on February 22, one is the much awaited and anticipated films Ameerin Aadhi Bhagavan and the other is Haridas. The occupancy is about 50-60% in theatres for Jayam Ravi’s movie, which has received a positive response from the audiences and critics. The film is strong in multiplexes and in single screens.

Aadhi Bhagavan has received a decent response at the domestic box office, whereas Haridas could not do the same. It showed below average occupancy in theatres.

Aadhi Bhagavan faces tough competition from Haridas and Vishwaroopam, which is in its third weekend. Trade analysts predict Aadhi Bhagavan will get good numbers at domestic box office and the film would top the Tamil Nadu box office chart this weekend, in spite of its business affected by Vishwaroopam.
