Box office collection : ABCD earns 29 crore in its first week (7 days)

Mumbai, Feb 17 (): Box office collections of ABCD – AnyBody Can Dance in its first week of its release is 29 crore and this is a fair result for such a small film.

The film was not expected to do much at box office but it  took to a fantastic start and managed to hold its collection on weekdays too. “ABCD” showed its strength in the weekdays despite having a good competition with Akshay Kumar’s Special Chabbis.

As per reports given in Boxoffice capsule,collections for the film is as follows –

The movie, directed by Remo D’Souza was released in 750 screens on February 9, the same day Special Chabbis was released. ABCD had a good start with its occupancy ranging between 55% and 70% on Friday, collecting 4.50 crore. It has shown good collections in its opening weekend and its surprise collection continued in weekdays.

ABCD has collected 16.50 cr nett over the weekend. Especially, ABCD showed a good number on Thursday being a Valentine’s Day. The movie collected 4 crore on Thursday alone.

ABCD showed good results in Mumbai and south, but remained average in North. It did more than 50-60% business from Mumbai alone.

ABCD is a huge profitable project for all those associated with the film and is a surprise hit of the year. On seeing the unexpected success of the movie, the makers are even planning of making a sequel of the film very soon.

Trade experts predict the film will add at least 4-5 cr nett in week two, which means the film would finish up with the lifetime collections in the range of 33-35 cr nett.

ABCD will most likely emerge as a clean hit.
