Vishwaroopam 2 will release in theatres this year, says Kamal Hassan

Chennai, Feb 11 (): Vishwaroopam 2 will starts its production in few days and will be released in theatres this year, 2013, announced Kamal Haasan.

On Saturday, a meet was organised by Raj Kamal Enterprises, along with film distributor H D Gangaraj. During the press interaction, Kamal assured that there will be no delay in the release of the sequel. Haasan also emphasized that the sequel of Vishwaroopam, “Vishwaroopam 2″ will be released by the end of this year without any delay, unlike what happened for its prequel.

The actor said these words while referring to some Tamil film personalities, who had advised him to continue making films at least once a year.

The production work for Vishwaroopam 2 has already started with right earnestness and the scripting for the sequel is on. In fact, while shooting Vishwaroopam, Kamal had already shot some scenes for Vishwaroopam 2. Co-writer of “Vishwaroopam”, Atul Tiwari confirmed that the sequel was in its pre-production phase and the shooting would start soon.

Kamal revealed that in spite of the controversies faced before the release, Vishwaroopam has got positive response from the audience in Tamil Nadu too. The result has pleased the actor.

Kamal thanked his fans in Tamil Nadu, for rendering an overwhelming support to his movie. He declared at the meet that the cinema circle has already said Vishwaroopam as his biggest career hit after it opened with an enormous response for three days. Though the film was expected to face heavy loss due to the ban for more than a week, Kamal is indicating that the film may collect nearly Rs. 100 crore.

He added that as the Tamil version of ‘Vishwaroopam’ had been released in Tamil Nadu, he was happy that he would not be questioned by his brother and co-producer Chandra Haasan.

Made at a budget of  95 crores, Vishwaroopam  stars Kamal Haasan, Pooja Kumar, Andrea Jeremiah, Shekhar Kapur, Rahul Bose and Jaideep Ahlawat.
