New Delhi, Feb 6 (): Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh at his 7, Race Course Road residence and discussed with him various issues including the one related to Sardar Sarovar dam.
Modi after reaching the national capital met the Prime Minister at 10:00 am in the morning and gave a memorandum on issues related to the Sardar Sarovar dam. “It was a nice meeting with the Prime Minister,” said Narendra Modi.
Modi said that Prime Minister wished him good luck and gave him an assurance that the centre will provide with all help that is needed for the development of Gujarat. Modi is also scheduled to meet the students of the Sri Ram College of Commerce and address them on ‘emerging business models in a global scenario’.
Students of the SRCC College expressed their excitement in meeting Modi who is considered to be a major player in politics. Students of one of India’s top colleges were waiting eagerly to have a glance at Narendra Modi and interact with him.
Modi who is known for his efforts in the development of Gujarat was known by the students as a great bureaucrat, an outstanding economist and a man who fulfills his decisions. Modi is not worried about the consequences, said a student of SRCC.
The Gujarat Chief Minister is scheduled to address the students of SRCC as part of a three-day business conclave at about 4 pm today. Though Modi’s role in the 2002 Gujarat riots has put him in shadow, the development that he has brought was simply impressive, said a student of the college who wants to line up to register his name to meet Modi.
Meanwhile, students belonging to Left wing organizations are likely to protest outside the college objecting to Modi’s visit to the college who said that Modi’s intention is not to talk about politics, but to give a lecture on business, and also reminded Modi that they are students of commerce.
