Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone shoot in snowy Kashmir

Srinagar, Feb 1 (): Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone are at present in Kashmir’s attractive Pahalgam to shoot a song for their forthcoming movie, Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani.

Director of Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, Ayan Mukherji wanted to shoot the song in the winter snow of Kashmir. Initially, the unit had shooting in the Gulmarg ski resort where Jammu Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah hosted a dinner for the cast; the unit has moved to Pahalgam on Monday morning.

Reports said as slowly peace returns to Kashmir, at least six Bollywood film units are expected to arrive for shooting in the valley by March.

Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani is the first unit to arrive at the snowy Kashmir– with actors Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone.

Last year, Ranbir Kapoor appeared in Anurag Basu’s romantic comedy Barfi! alongside Priyanka Chopra as a deaf-mute boy. He was applauded for his excellent performance in the movie and the movie was selected as India’s official entry to the Oscars for the 85th Academy Awards.

This year Kapoor is scheduled to appear in Ayan Mukerji’s Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani with Deepika Padukone, Abhinav Kashyap’s Besharam with Pallavi Sharda, and Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet with Anushka Sharma.

The same way, Deepika’s recently released  action-packed multi-starrer Race 2, directed by Abbas-Mustan that features Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone , Anil Kapoor, John Abraham, Amisha Patel and Jacquline Fernandes has emerged as a winner.

This year she too continues to be busy with a handful of movies like Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani with Ranbir Kapoor, Ram Leela with Ranveer Singh, Chennai Express with Shahrukh Khan and Kochadaiyaan with Tamil superstar Rajnikanth.

As soon as Deepika finishes her shooting in Kashmir with Ranbir for Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, she will be joining Ranveer Singh for Sanjay Leela Bhansali movie.

At present, Ranveer is shooting solo scenes in Jodhpur. Deepika is expected to fly straight from Kashmir to Rajasthan.
