Mumbai, Jan 24 (): In a spectacular audio launch of the movie “Mai”, two legends from two different fields came together. It was none other than great play back singer Asha Bhonsle and cricket player Sachin Tendulkar.

Sachin Tendulkar released the audio of Asha Bhonsle’s Marathi film ‘Mai’ at a five-star suburban Hotel Grand Hyatt in Kalina, Mumbai, on Tuesday evening. “Mai” is the debut film of Asha Bhonsle.

The grand audio launch was graced by Sachin Tendulkar, great Indian cricketer, who recently declared his retirement from One-Day Internationals. During launch, Asha Bhonsle said Sachin Tendulkar was one of the most modest and the greatest persons she had ever met.

The singer praised him saying she knew him very well since Sachin was a 16-year-old boy. She also added that it was really inspiring for her to watch him grow and the way he handled his life and fame.

She added that the most important thing in life is Insaaniyat (humanity). Whenever she had seen him, there was so much respect and love for her from him. Sachin had never refused her call. Even that day, he had come in spite of his busy preparations for the final matches for Ranji Trophy in Mumbai that would be held against Saurashtra. Asha Bhonsle said Sachin has lot of humbleness and insaaniyat in him.

Sachin was invited as a guest of honour to the audio launch. He said that his family played a very important role to inspire him to attain the place where he is today and also added all along our life certain people inspire us. He also thanked his cricketing society for their love and support.

At the age of 79, Asha Bhonsle has sung millions of songs and now she is debuting as an actress. Sachin also has had a striking cricketing career of 23 years. When he was asked if he would like to try other opportunities he said he wished to play cricket for now and the rest for later.
