Box office collection : Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu (SVSC) collects 41 crore in its first weekend (3 days)

Hyderabad, Jan 16 (): Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu (SVSC) starring Mahesh Babu, Venkatesh, Samantha and Anjali in lead roles, had opened very well at the worldwide box office. The movie has collected a total of 41.22 crore in its first weekend.

According to the reports given in Superwoods, SVSC has collected-

13.21 crores on January 11, Friday
13.86 crores on January 12, Saturday
14.15 crores on January 13, Sunday

41.22 crores is the total collection in its first weekend (3 days).

Telugu movie “Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu” was released on January 11, Friday, along with Ram Charan Teja’s “Naayak”, Bollywood movie “Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola” and Karthi’s Tamil film “Alex Pandian”. All these film have become a tough competition to SVSC at the box office.

“SVSC”, written and directed by Srikanth Addala, is the first multi-starrer film in the Telugu industry. Apart from the lead role actors, the film also features Prakash Raj, Jayasudha, Rohini Hattangadi, Rao Ramesh, Abhinaya, Brahmanandam, Kota Srinivasa Rao and Tanikella Bharani in supporting roles.

Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu is a good family entertainer with a few masala ingredients. Mahesh Babu and Venkatesh’s performances, Srikanth Addala’s brilliant narration and dialogues, Mickey J Meyer’s melodious music, KV Guhan’s beautiful picturisation are the highlights of the film.

This multi-starrer movie has witnessed a terrific collection at the box office. Good distribution deals coupled with Sankranthi holiday yielded an amazing business for all three days in its first weekend and also day 4 has done a good collection of 13.25 crores. In four days, the collection has gone up to 54.47 crores.

All the major ‘A’ centers across the Andhra Pradesh had done terrific business and due to holiday, B and C centers, which were weaker previously, joined in as well, giving this amazing collection for Day 4.

The movie bagged positive reviews from film critics and a positive word of mouth took its business upwards during the Sankranthi festival.
