London, Jan. 9 (ANI): Wayne Rooney has paid an emotional tribute to wife Coleen’s little sister Rosie, after she lost her battle against a lifelong illness.
The 27-year-old footie ace said that Rosie’s death had left a massive hole in their lives.
The Manchester United striker told of his heartbreak in a moving message to the youngster in the local paper the Liverpool Echo, the Mirror reported.
He wrote: “My angel Rosie, I will miss you so much. I will never forget the way you laughed and those big beautiful eyes. You are an inspiration to me.
“God has called for you, so we have to let you go, so take your eyes and that big smile and make heaven glow.
“You will always have a special place in my heart. Love you always and forever. Your Wayne.”
Coleen, 27, also paid tribute to the sister her parents Colette and Tony McLoughlin had adopted as a baby.
Rosie, who suffered from the genetic neurological disorder Rett Syndrome, expired at the family home in Liverpool while Coleen and her 3-year-old son Kai were on a holiday in Barbados.
She was in her mother’s arms when she passed away on Saturday and her funeral will be held on Thursday. (ANI)
