Six female NGO workers killed in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province

Islamabad, Jan 2 (ANI): At least seven teachers of a non-government organization have been killed in an attack in Swabi, district of terrorism-hit Pakistani province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to District Police Officer (DPO) Swabi, Abdur Rasheed, unknown miscreants opened fire on a vehicle carrying teaching staff of a NGO.

The vehicle came under attack while it was leaving a community center on Tuesday, the DPO said.

According to the Daily Times, six female teachers were among seven killed in the attack while driver of vehicle sustained serious injuries.

The incident took place a day before anti-polio campaign was to be kicked off Wednesday, the report said. (ANI)
