Most expected Bollywood movies of 2013

Mumbai, Jan 3 (): 2012 was a very good year for Bollywood film industry as the audiences showed tremendous response over good projects. The film industry is expecting the same response from the audience in the coming year 2013.

Now, for a look at the most anticipated films of 2013-

1. Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola: It is a romantic comedy film co-produced and directed by Vishal Bharadwaj. Besides co-production and direction, Vishal Bharadwaj has co-scripted and scored the music for the film. The film stars Imran Khan, Anushka Sharma and Pankaj Kapoor playing the lead roles while Arya Babbar and Shabana Azmi play supporting roles.

The film is slated for a world-wide release on 11 January, 2013.

2. Inkaar: It is a romantic crime film. Directed by Sudhir Mishra, the movie stars Arjun Rampal and Chitrangada Singh in the lead roles. Inkaar deals with the issue of sexual harassment at work places. Chitrangada is likely to bring out the darker side of such a sensitive issue.

The film is scheduled to release on 18 January 2013.

3. Special Chabbis: It is directed by Neeraj Pandey and stars Akshay Kumar and Kajal Agarwal in lead roles with Manoj Bajpai, Anupam Kher and Jimmy Shergill in supporting roles. The theatrical trailer was released on 20th Dec, 2012, on the internet.

The movie releases on 8th Feb, 2013.

4. Chennai Express: Directed by Rohit Shetty and produced by Gauri Khan, the movie features Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in lead roles. Chennai Express is about a man’s journey from Mumbai to Rameshwaram and what happens along the way.

Filming is expected to finish by April 2013.

5. Zanjeer Remake: It is a remake of the Hindi 1973 film of the same name. Produced and directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the movie is simultaneously shot in Hindi and Telugu.

The movie is expected to release on 25th December 2013.

6. Ghanchakkar: The film will star Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan in the leads roles, under the direction of Rajkumar Gupta. Rajkumar is working with Vidya Balan after ‘No One Killed Jessica’.

7. Shootout At Wadala: Directed by Sanjay Gupta, the movie is the sequel to 2007 Bollywood film Shootout at Lokhandwala. The star cast includes John Abraham, Anil Kapoor, Kangna Ranaut, Tusshar Kapoor and Sonu Sood.

The film was to release on January 18, 2013 but later got postponed and now it will release on May 1, 2013.

8. Bhaag Milkha Bhaag: Directed and produced by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, the film will star Farhan Akhtar and Sonam Kapoor in lead roles. The film is based on the life of Indian athlete Milkha Singh.

The movie will release on July 12, 2013.

9. Satyagraha: It is a political thriller film, directed by Prakash Jha starring Amitabh Bachchan, Arjun Rampal, Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, and Manoj Bajpai.

Satyagraha is scheduled to release on Independence Day, August 15, 2013.

10. Once Upon a Time in Mumbai Again: This movie features Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha, Imran Khan and Sonali Bendre in significant roles.

The movie is expected to release on 8th August 2013, on Eid.

11. Bullet Raja: It is an gangster-thriller film, written and directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia and produced by Rahul Mittra . The film will feature Saif Ali Khan opposite Sonakshi Sinha in lead roles.

The film is scheduled to be released on September 06, 2013.

12. Besharam: The movie is an upcoming comedy film starring Ranbir Kapoor and Pallavi Sharda in lead roles.

The movie is to release on October 2013.

13 Krrish 3: Produced and directed by Rakesh Roshan, this film is the third film in the Krrish film series. The film stars Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, Kangna Ranaut, Vivek Oberoi and Shaurya Chauhan.

The film will be released during Diwali 2013 along with its 3D format.

14. Dhoom 3: It is an action thriller film, written and directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya and produced by Aditya Chopra. It is the third film in the popular Dhoom series. The movie is scheduled for a release in Christmas 2013 and stars Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif in lead roles.

Aamir Khan wanted to release the film on Christmas of 2012, but release has been postponed to an early release date in 2013.
