New Delhi, Dec. 25 (ANI): The Congress Core Group meeting held on Tuesday, reviewed the law and order situation in the national Capital amid persistent protests after the Delhi gang rape incident on December 16.
The meeting was held at Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s residence, 7 Race course Road here and was attended by Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Defence Minister A K Antony, Finance Minister P Chidambaram and Gandhi’s Political Secretary Ahmed Patel.
Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kamal Nath were also present in the meeting.
The core group meeting noted that the police should deal with the matter with sensitivity while there should be no room for violence. (ANI)
