Mumbai, Dec 23 (): The most disappointing news is, Salman Khan won’t play for ‘Mumbai Heroes’ team in the third season of the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL 3), which is scheduled to be held on February 2o13 due to his health concerns and an extremely tight schedule.
On October 19th, a press meet of ‘Celebrity Cricket League T20′ was held in Mumbai. Sohail Khan, Sarath Kumar, Mohanlal, Suniel Shetty and Riteish Deshmukh were present at the press meet cum launch party. Hot actor Bipasha Basu and Priyamani were also present at the launch party.
Sohail Khan is the owner of his new team ‘Mumbai Heroes’. Actor and filmmaker Sohail Khan said incidentally Salman will not be playing for his team. He said he could not take risk with Salman now as he is a popular icon.
Last year, Salman has gone through a major surgery and the actor could not play for the team in the last two seasons also due to his illness. This year too, Salman will be missing the game.
However, Sohail said Salman will be there whenever he can. He would visit the venues and cheer the team. Surprisingly Sohail also will not be playing for the team despite being the proud owner of Mumbai Heroes. He said jovially that he was out in the first ball so he was removed from the team.
In CCL 3, Riteish Deshmukh will also not be a part of Mumbai Heroes team as Riteish has his own team ‘Veer Marathi’. His team will have actors from Marathi film industry as players.
Another team named ‘Bhojpuri Dabanggs’ representing the Bhojpuri film industry, is also introduced for this season of CCL.
CCL 3, the third edition of Celebrity Cricket League has eight teams and will start with a Curtain Raiser Event in Mumbai on 19th January 2013, with many Bollywood celebrities performing. Opening ceremony is at Kochi on 9th Feburary 2013 where Kerala Strikers will be playing against Mumbai Heroes.
